In Pharmaceutical Chemistry I course it is aimed to teach formula, nomenclature, general physicochemical properties, general synthetic pathways, metabolism, stability, general chemical analysis, structure-activity relationships of pharmaceutical active ingredients used in diagnosis and treatment of some diseases. Within this general topic, concepts of chemotherapy and related terms, chemotherapeutics, beta-lactamase inhibitors (penicillines, cephalosporines), amino acid antibiotics, polypeptidic antibiotics, macrolide antibiotics, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, sulfonamides, quinolone derivatives and antituberculosis drugs, antilepra compounds, antifungal compounds, antiviral drugs and urinary system drugs are taught.
